Crate Paper - Journey Collection

Hello and welcome to the Sassy Scrapper blog.
Well, schools back and routines are happening again in our house after the two week break over Easter.  I was lucky enough to get away for 10 nights of camping and it was bliss; beautiful weather, long relaxing days and a warm campfire at night!
I even managed to fit some scrapping supplies in the car and this was my view when I scrapped!
Pretty cool hey?!
I only did 3 pages while away (one of which I'm sharing today) but it was enough to satisfy my creative cravings!!

Scrapping, holidays, travel- all a perfect lead in to my shares today
which are using the Journey collection

I have a heap of photo's from previous holidays and thought this collection would be great for them.
It has some really cute camping images and natural patterns and colours.
Here's the first page using the Journey collection.

My second page today is all about campfires, marshmallows and s'mores! Yum!

Page number 3
Just to show you that even though it's a travel themed collection you can still use
it to scrap non-travel related pictures.

Like my page below which is actually a back to school photo.

Cheers til next week,
Leonie Neal-Dawson.

  1. Leonie I absolutely adore your "s'mores" page especially the paint work. I don't suppose there is a video or tutorial on how you did it?

    1. Hi Marie, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately I don't have a video of this technique (perhaps that's something I need to do!!) in short though I painted the background piece of Patterned paper with clear gesso and then set to work with a set of water colour paints. Most of it is just flicking the paint on to the background letting it dry and then adding another colour and so on. hope that's helped. :)
